FAQ - Lifetime Support

How long will my book be in print?

As long as you want. When you publish with Xlibris, you obtain permanent publication – your book will never go out of print – and we will always be here for you.

What is My Xlibris?

When you publish with Xlibris, you can nominate a unique username and password to access the My Xlibris website. This website is linked to the Xlibris homepage and is your interactive portal to all information about your book. You can check the progress of your book's production, and once published you can use your my Xlibris account to check your book sales and royalties, change your author biography on the Xlibris online bookstore and learn about specials only available to Xlibris authors.

I have a friend who would like to publish with Xlibris, do I get an incentive for referrals?

Of course. If you introduce friends or family to the benefits of publishing with Xlibris and they decide to publish a book with us, we will gladly give you a referral fee of £75. To Refer-A-Friend simply fill out the on-line form with the names and contact information of authors who could benefit from Xlibris' services. You will receive £75 for each referred author who publishes a book with us. The referral bonus will be sent to you by check once your referral's book is completed.

Can I revise my book once it is published?

Definitely. Because your book exists electronically, you can change or update your content even after it has been published. So if new information comes to light or certain details change, you can make sure that your published book is kept up-to-date. Post-publication revision services are £249 for a Black & White published book and £299 for Full-Colour published books.

Where can I post recent news about my book?

The Xlibris Author's Lounge is a great forum to post recent news and information about your book, feature your story, or learn from the experience of other authors. It also gives you access to a list of upcoming events and relevant articles about publishing and marketing your work.

What do I get if my book is particularly well written or sells well?

The ultimate goal for the majority of authors is to get a publishing contract with a major publishing house. Xlibris supports excellence in both writing and sales. The Xlibris Author Spotlight, Critic's Choice Award and Best Seller Program are all designed to not only recognise your achievements as a writer, but to assist you with all important marketing and publicity for your work. Call your publishing consultant at 0800-644-6988 to find out more about eligibility and benefits associated with these programs.
